The Edith May returns to Rochester Pier for a weekend of live music, real ale and homemade cake (which undoubtedly make a fantastic mix).
She’ll be heading under Rochester Bridge on Friday afternoon, before opening up 10-5 on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Real ale from the Dockyard’s Nelson Brewery will be available to purchase on board, ensuring everyone can get into the spirit of Sweeps!
Getting into the nautical theme, on Saturday evening the barge hosts Scheepsfolk (tickets £10), a popular Dutch shanty group – check out an excerpt below:
For those that love the shanties and want even more (and judging by how popular the Christmas shanty concerts are, there’s quite a few of you!), the Edith May is delighted to welcome the UK’s premier shanty band, Kimber’s Men aboard on Sunday evening (£12.50).
Tickets for both evening gigs should be purchased through the Medway Council box office – www.medwayticketslive.co.uk/
